Escape rooms have become a favourite activity across South Wales, and here in Cardiff there's no shortage of places to play. At Puzzled Escape Rooms, we've taken a slightly different approach - designing every game from scratch, building immersive worlds, and focusing on the kind of experience that makes players walk out saying, "that was absolutely brilliant."

We're not a franchise. Every room at Puzzled Escape Rooms has been designed from scratch by us - a local team with a bit of a tech obsession and a passion for storytelling.

That tech and immersion obsession isn't just for show... One of the owners also runs an IT company, another has a software company and the final used to build sets! We come at escape rooms from a different angle - using technology to tell stories, build immersive environments, and make things happen that you wouldn't expect. We're not interested in wires for the sake of it. We care about how it feels, we care about the flow, the surprises, the moment players say, "wait, did that just happen?".

What that means is: no generic padlock chains, no copy-paste puzzles. Instead, you’ll find yourself trying to bring an abandoned ship back to life, or working in a seated control room as an AI system slowly takes over. And in just a few weeks, we’re launching our biggest and most ambitious game yet: Going Up.

Going Up is a full-scale, high-tech, story-led adventure set inside a repurposed spaceship turned museum! It’s packed with twists, turns, and moments of pure magic - the kind you can’t really explain without spoiling it. Let’s just say: if you think you’ve seen what escape rooms can do, think again.

We consider ourselves a premium experience - and we build everything around that idea. Our settings are cinematic. Our puzzles are logical but surprising. And our players leave saying things like "that was way better than I expected" or "this is how all escape rooms should be."

We're also proud to be one of the most accessible escape rooms in Cardiff - and actually, the only fully wheelchair accessible escape room in Wales rated 5 stars on Euan's Guide. Two of our three games are designed to be played entirely by wheelchair users or players with limited mobility. It’s something we've thought about from the start - not added in as an afterthought.
